IQ tested as a child (nearly 60 years ago) at 155. Wish I had some common sense though, and psychological issues have mitigated the benefits of my intelligence. I think it was Thomas Edison who was supposed to have stated that genius is 1% inspiration and 99% perspiration. That may be overly skewed towards perspiration, but the point has validity.

    IQ 129 at 13. I’d say that’s pretty decent

My IQ has on average been 178 and although well read, I otherwise am not that intelligent.

118 at age 59. That makes me only a bit below John F Kennedy but dumber than George Bush? Huh?
    All in good fun LOL!

All these vexatious people in the comments that say that their IQs are high is probably because they googled the answers to an inaccurate IQ test.

I always score in the 120s, but I’m not well spoken, though pretty good at logic….makes me think these tests are flawed

I am curently 14 years of age and after several tests, I have the average result of 129, I am quite a bit more intellegent than my fellow peers. I just wanted to share my findings.

I’m 11 and I have an IQ of 130. That is okay, I suppose, but I want to be higher than Sir Issac Newton (190).

IQ measure favors those in the academics. When we were in school my brother had no interest in anything academic and his IQ score was low. However, he’s naturally clever with his hands; crafts, mechanical assembly, he could easily do it. Many adults with good IQ score cannot even fixed a simple DIY furniture.

A.Eintein once said “every body is a genius but if you judge a fish by its ability to climb a tree then it will spent its whole life thinking that it is stupid” so guys those of you whose IQ values are as low as mine shouldnt bother cuz IQ or QI is deffinitely not a true test for Intelligence.I belief that every thing is Relative.or what ever

  • Christina November 3, 2014, 10:07 pm

Can you tell me how do you know about the IQ of these famous people, such as Da Vinci? I do not think the IQ tests existed at that time.

    Thanks!

Could we please get back to Henry VIII? I have wanted to know this for years! If anyone knows someone who understands how to calculate this would you please ask them to.I have searched and searched the internet to no avail. I did read, fairly recently, that he had an amazing memory, but was incapable of independent thought; which does make sense to me. Please, I’m asking for help here.

I read that Alfred Einstein was asked “How does it feel to be the smartest man alive?” and he replied, “I don’t know, you’ll have to ask Tesla.” Any idea what Tesla’s IQ would have been?

  • Joseph E Fasciani September 27, 2014, 11:33 am

Friends, please bear in mind that ALL such tests can only accurately reflect the inherent prejudices or biases of their designers.

They do not, they CANNOT measure ‘intelligence’ as such, but rather how the test-taker is able to relate to what the culture of that particular test believes are favourable, positive outcomes or directions.

An IQ test test devised by Australian natives would be failed by anyone else, as we were not raised in that culture. Einstein and Goethe would be at as much of a loss as any of us would; so tell me, what was measured and what did we fall short of in that case?
