The story of a blind girl

There was a blind girl who hated herself just because she was blind. She hated everyone, except her loving boyfriend. He was always there for her. She said that if she could only see the world, she would marry her boyfriend.

One day, someone donated a pair of eyes to her and then she could see everything, including her boyfriend. Her boyfriend asked her, “Now that you can see the world, will you marry me?”

The girl was shocked when she saw that her boyfriend was blind too, and refused to marry him. Her boyfriend walked away in tears, and later wrote a letter to her saying: “Just take care of my eyes dear.”

This is how human brain changes when the status changed. Only few remember what life was before, and who’s always been there even in the most painful situations.

Life Is A Gift

Today before you think of saying an unkind word–
think of someone who can’t speak.

Before you complain about the taste of your food–
think of someone who has nothing to eat.

Before you complain about your husband or wife–
think of someone who is crying out to God for a companion.

Today before you complain about life–
think of someone who went too early to heaven.

Before you complain about your children–
think of someone who desires children but they’re barren.

Before you argue about your dirty house, someone didn’t clean or sweep–
think of the people who are living in the streets.

Before whining about the distance you drive–
think of someone who walks the same distance with their feet.

And when you are tired and complain about your job–
think of the unemployed, the disabled and those who wished they had your job.

But before you think of pointing the finger or condemning another–
remember that not one of us are without sin and we all answer to one maker.

And when depressing thoughts seem to get you down–
put a smile on your face and thank God you’re alive and still around.

Life is a gift – Live it, Enjoy it, Celebrate it, and Fulfill it.

I will only say that human being nature is as the girl of your story. This may be even seen in the comments of some people above. They didn’t think about moral of the story they are bothered about possibilities. i.e. maximum people think and see through eyes and not through their heart.
And the boy of this story thought opposite of we human beings. We people say such person mad, but he also knows what people will say of him but then also he does.

Here is how the real story goes

    There was
a blind girl who hated herself because she was blind. She
hated everyone, except her loving boyfriend. He was always
there for her. She told her boyfriend, ‘If I could only see
the world, I will marry you.’

    One day,
someone donated a pair of eyes to her. When the bandages
came off, she was able to see everything, including her
    boyfriend.

    He asked
her, ‘Now that you can see the world, will you marry me?’ The
girl looked at her boyfriend and saw that he was blind. The
sight of his closed eyelids shocked her. She hadn’t expected
that. The thought of looking at them the rest of her life
led her to refuse to marry him.

    Her
boyfriend left in tears and days later wrote a note to her
saying: ‘Take good care of your eyes, my dear, for before
they were yours, they were mine.’

I was completely shattered. Really wonder if such things are possible. After reading N number of morals I think we have to love what we have and not judge others. Are we perfect to ridicule others. I sure know we are not.

  • Abinash April 6, 2010, 8:42 pm

Really it’s a heart touching story, but there are a very few people who really sacrifice for the sake of others, we need to learn to sacrifice from the story..

  • TKN March 18, 2010, 8:12 am

A touching story… We have to look back and think of our life… What did we do for us and for others?

We should learn to appreciate everything in our daily life… Everything is changing… Thank life…

  • Harikesh March 18, 2010, 7:09 am

This is not called the real love. They both were only friends. Love can not be Selfish. The girl failed in friendship too.

  • Sharon March 16, 2010, 9:11 am

It really touched my heart and I would like to follow this 10 points which proved that ”life is a gift” by everyone in this world thank u so much.

  • Alv March 15, 2010, 3:49 am

That girl is stupid, that why she does that… and maybe she thinks that other rich guy would like her… she never knows how to appreciate other people gifts…
Life is just like a game… we have to face every challenger of life… but once we lost, never-ever can repeat our life time just like we restarting the game.

  • TySawn March 11, 2010, 10:46 pm

    @Nandish:

Your comment did not make sense. The girl was blind, so how could she know what her boyfriend looked like? Plus, the guy got blind AFTER he gave her HIS eyes so now the girl could see, and what was the result of losing his eyes to his love?

BEING BLIND (cause now he has no eyes…of course…)

Also, She rejected HIM…the letter came after the rejection as it is clearly told in the story. At that point, she must've realized that her loving boyfriend was the one who sacrificed his ability to see so that SHE could be the one looking out in the world.

Altogether, this story is very emotional, as my best friend (Anonymous) is blind. Very 100% from the heart, Very True

  • Krishna March 4, 2010, 7:26 am

  • Krishna March 4, 2010, 7:24 am

Yes it’s good everybody should think upon themselves before and after one stage.

  • Nandish March 2, 2010, 3:52 pm

i personally feel that its a dumb story.. The guy when he was not blind and was with the girl would have definately did not act blind and the girl knew that he was not blind. When the girl got his eyes although the guy had not told that it was his eyes she had was she DUMB to not notice that he has lost his eyes nd something is wrong.. Totally dumb story,,

  • Assen January 30, 2010, 10:33 am

    The conclusion is:

If you are not able to love all people and don’t feel compassion to their suffering, you are not able to love anyone including your “beloved” ones.

My personal experience proves it cos, I never had good relation with girls with cold, ignorant hearts. This point of view only show undeveloped personality between 6-10 years in ages:)

My advise: If u met someone like this just run away ASAP. He will not change ever!

  • SB January 29, 2010, 10:18 am

why do girls alwayse leave boy the boy whom love her lot , it hurts me lot ,

  • Ch Muneendra Babu January 27, 2010, 12:31 am

A powerful story on human relations and about selfless love. Human relations are full of paradigm shifts and blessed are those who elicit unconditinal love. The man lost eyes but gained loss of fake girl.

  • Rosey January 24, 2010, 11:40 am

Outstanding stories and the morals too.

  • Moses.I January 22, 2010, 4:41 pm

A good story but bad feeling. I request everyone not to fight upon gender, instead be kind and like each other.

  • Bob January 15, 2010, 11:24 am

You don’t cry through your eyes but through the tear glands underneath your eyes.

  • Shanin January 13, 2010, 11:00 am

how dare she said that to her boyfriend? she didn’t care?
    what’s a nice story…

  • Meg January 11, 2010, 8:10 pm

This is an amazing short story. But why are the people on here fighting about men and women? Honestly you all have get over this fight. “LIFE IS A GIFT” Thats the moral of the story, so stop fighting and making other people’s lives harder. The point of this story is to love life and not blame it on different genders and cultures and countries. Also people talking about blind people being unlovable. They’re still people they just can’t see. that doesn’t stop them from love. So please stop fighting about nothing.

  • Juju January 11, 2010, 7:43 pm

Blind people can cry…. there are people who become blind because they cry their eyes out.

  • Vidit January 10, 2010, 8:24 pm

As truly said by someone, anything we have is worth a chicken broughtup at home. So we shoul appreciate our near and dear ones.

  • Thomas January 8, 2010, 11:41 am

He got someone else to write it? Like huh?! He delegated it, out-sourced or remembered how to write it. Remember he could see before. Anyhow, enough with trivialities. It just a story.

  • KAMRAN December 30, 2009, 7:34 am

@Ayush… It was the decision of the boy to give her his eyes… and if he wanted he could leave her blind and find another pretty girl… but he loved her… and in love, body parts don’t matter. Love in other words, stand for sacrifice.. and Andra, you did well to answer those two fools… Take care.

  • Ajay Tripathi December 30, 2009, 3:48 am

It is a very good story..ever read..Guys now i understand why our elders says this “Love is Blind”…Love never see good or bad..ups and down..ugly and beauty

  • Ayush December 28, 2009, 1:48 pm

The girl never loved him, when she need him then she used him. The boy should send the bomb with letter.

  • Carolyn December 23, 2009, 11:19 am

Love is supposed to be unconditional and as far as I am concerned neither the boyfriend or the girlfriend in he story is acting in an unconditional way.

  • Almaz Sharip (Russia) December 20, 2009, 4:09 am

    It’s just our life.

Live it, Enjoy it, Celebrate it, and Fulfill it.

  • Sathyam December 19, 2009, 11:28 pm

This was truly a work soaked in compassion and rich in love.

I’m sad that some of the commenters did not understand the real meaning of the story which was: ” We can give without loving but we can never love without giving…”

May God bless The Team Who Had The Enlightened Vision Of Helping People To Find Their Answers Through Such Beautiful And Motivated Stories.

  • Ayesha November 29, 2009, 5:15 am

It’s a good story but no one should love a blind.

  • Rem November 27, 2009, 12:02 am

That is a good story, it only shows that not everything you wanted will be given to you, why do always people focus on good things??? There should always consequences in everything we do…

  • Praveen November 26, 2009, 1:33 am

It is difinetly true that if u speak anything u must think of it ….

  • Tarun (Dev) November 17, 2009, 3:02 am

Girls are used to for this kind of behaviour, but here the boy is in fault as he has not dared to share the things with girls. Any ways its a beautiful moral where we should learn that not to forget the person from where you got love affection and care, this is costless………..

  • R.Manivannan November 6, 2009, 4:27 am

  • Seba September 18, 2009, 11:23 am

It is really a living story. I congratulate the thoughts of the author. Before we could commend on the story let us place ourselves in the place of these two characters. I just can’t criticize any of them for this because they have conscience. My tears r falling for the boy. Thanks 4 the story.

  • Hamed June 6, 2009, 4:39 am

Today my girlfriend broke up with me cuz she doesn’t think God wants us together and she knws I have nothing I am kind of lost my every thing on her.

I spend every thing only cuz of her and now she got new job and she has money and car she dsnt need me so she broke my heart.

I just wanna tell her take care of my soul cuz its ganna be w her forever.

  • Lilly May 15, 2009, 3:34 pm

That is really sad, I just got it in a forward. But at the same I agree with “normal person”. I just feel kind of sorry for him, was this a true story? Well that was true love, he wanted to have her love forever, he wanted to try to make her life better, but instead he got rejected just because he was blind.
    Take care,
    Lilly

  • Burns.R April 29, 2009, 9:18 pm

Grub, your comment was a ridiculous 19th Century view and I was ashamed to think that there are ignorant people such as you still living in the world today (and would I be correct in presuming America not Scotland?).

You have unfairly labelled the entire male species on the basis that you have had… (my estimate is four) bad relationships with men. Have you ever thought the problem may lay with you and not mankind? You have implied that no woman has ever given in to comsumerism, or made an unforgivable remark, you imply that men cannot perform tasks as aptly as women, and let me tell you lass, you’re leading yourself down the rabbit hole because it is presisely these views you’ve just mentioned that keep advertisers pressing these small truths on you. You will never be truly free from these small ideas that you expect until you learn not to expect them.

And besides which, Bhati was right in one respect, this girl was certainly not to be trusted, and I assume that his response had as much to do with the women s/he has been involved with as yours has to do with the men.

The story itself leaves a fair bit to be desired although I hope that it does cause people to think about the things they do as needless hurt occurs seemingly everywhere these days…

  • Lina April 26, 2009, 11:40 am

I think the girl she have 2 dieeeeeeeeeeeeeee

She has 2 be in hell

  • Grub April 26, 2009, 1:01 am

Really Bhati, you are just misogynistic and sick in the mind. “Never trust on girls”…. fucking idiot. Who’s there to care for the children if not for the mother or sister. What if I say guys have nothing to show for but only to swing their dicks about and trumpet “Never trust on girls”. Ladies, see what some of us have to live with– utter tools; whilst they crawl about earth, waging war on each other, practise corruption.

  • Arnab April 21, 2009, 2:37 pm

Fantastic and heart touching story…..it shows the real meaning of life….we have to learn a lot from this story.

  • Apoorva Rashmi April 6, 2009, 4:00 am

It’s really a nice story….it shows how da mentalitty of the people changes according to the satuvations….

  • Vijay April 1, 2009, 9:03 am

Andra you are right, m impressed. its for those who read only but don’t feel. Great…………

And I urge all true lovers that sacrfices & help should be done after marriage.

I think the title of the story should be “How I Live Now”

  • Vikki March 10, 2009, 7:56 pm

I like the story very much. I was just so sad about the boy who gave his eyes to her. He should have told her in the first place. Communication is really very important in any relationship.

  • Bhati March 9, 2009, 6:45 am

Really it’s a very nice and heart touching story. But according to this time situation we cannot trust on girls specially. They always look towards good things, they try to copy each-others, they don’t want a good hearted partner, but expect good looking and rich partner to enjoy her life……… the moral of the story is not…that she left him bt is that NEVER TRUST ON GIRLS IF U REALLY WANT TO B HAPPY IN YOUR LIFE.

  • Amina February 20, 2009, 8:46 am

That was a really good story is this true?

  • Pooja February 14, 2009, 5:07 am

It is a nice and touching story. Really, people now a days easily forget the assistance received.

    Excellent!!!

  • Babiicute3 February 6, 2009, 9:57 pm

    Thats just sad and touching.
    I wanted to cry…
I feel sorry for the boy.
    I understand how he feels..

  • Julene January 26, 2009, 8:40 am

Why didn’t he just give her one eye?

And can you really blame her? Who wants to be with someone who is always giving them the eye?

  • Normal Person January 13, 2009, 9:13 am

I think the story has a wrong moral: the two should develop themselves in the same direction and not in the opposite directions.

The blind can see now and the other lost his eyssight. Did he discusse his intention with her first before he made the donation? Does he has the right to put the life of the girl in the way he wants to without telling her his intention? What he wants is to make the girl his wife, not to make her happy to spend her life with a blind man.

If she didn´t even know that he was not blind, I wonder if they had the basis of communication. The eyesight is only a symbol of our abilities. You can give someone the eyes, the legs, the money, but not the ability to us them well.

  • Vishu January 5, 2009, 3:33 am

It is very very touching and real inspiring stories giving value of each thing mentioned.

    thanks….

  • Andra December 9, 2008, 2:29 am

Well, Eric, people do cry even if they can’t see! Tears have nothing to do with sightness!

and Ace… as he was not born blind he knows how to write like seeing people! so it’s not impossible, harder maybe but not impossible! 😉

    Take care! 😉

  • Ace December 6, 2008, 3:04 pm

    LOL!!
Thats a nice question!! plus how did he write the letter??

  • Eric November 30, 2008, 1:30 pm

How does he walk away in tears without eyes?
