Don’t Be Afraid

in Motivational Stories

Here we are, afraid of losing what we have all the time, holding on to it so tight that not a soul can touch it. We think by hiding it from the world, it’s hidden and it’s ours. Nothing is. Nothing ever will be. For, nothing ever was.

If you think there is anything that you have, that’s yours, be it money, a house, a job, or a girlfriend… it’s nothing but an illusion. It’ll all disappear… in one blow. One blow, my man.

Here we are, so insecure that we are afraid of re-starting our lives, so we just carry on trying to sort out the current mess. The thought that we should give it all up and just start all over – with nothing – might cross our minds some time, sure, but we get scared and we push away anything that scares us.

There is nothing I can ever achieve or gain that I cannot lose, in a matter of seconds. You have never gained enough to not be able to lose it all, in just a few minutes. What you think is yours, was never yours and will never be yours. Whatever you make here, you leave here. You came naked and you’re going to go back naked.

So what are you afraid of?

Let all be lost. Let them take away everything. As long as you have your heart beating strong, as long as you have your nostrils working fine, as long as the blood flows in your veins, you will live, you will breathe and you can get it all back… again and again. For, if you can do it once, you can damn well do it again. It’s just a game we play – Life.

If it’s that easy….then why tears, sadness, sorrow and many other things are still existing???? I agree with u that we shouldn’t think we own anything on this earth, but fear is a huge monster that can attack u suddenlly at any moment…..It’s out of control! u can’t push a button and let it go!

“Look my friend the word fear is mearly a thought n just an imagination of our immature mind, so the more u think of it the more stronger it ll hit u back , in return! The best way to get ride of it is to just stop thinking over it and let this thought bypass your mind, like a cloud bypassing a peak, and keep concentrating on your time, place, dimension and work!Which otherwise be left undone, thence it will be in vain to regrete and repent for the time lost!”

The only way to get rid of fear is to surrender your self to the almighty and belive that what ever is happening or will happpen will be as per the wish of god. Let him take charge of your life.

I do agree with all the aspects of you, But there is a concept of Love in Life and that is the only thing a human being can own… And now tell me aren’t you scared if that “Love” goes away from you???

It’s true that we’re just stewards of what we posses here on earth but life isn’t a game, you’ll not have your next breath if God allows.

Stumbled across your post searching “motivational”. Turning 45 August 5th and your words made me think of my youth as well as my mortality. Hard to believe you are so young. I have lived your story and actually found my talents in starting over and rebuilding again and again. There in the silence of each new beginning the hope and promise are as refreshing and pure as that of a new love.
Thank you for stirring my mind and please share more!

It’s very very inspiring!

29 Pradeep March 29, 2013 at 2:58 am

This really motivates, and also gives an idea to let it go and not to work hard because when you work hard you will surly expect for something.

So don’t work more hard and let it go if things are against you. Or this is stupid because if you are working for no reason then there is no use of yours in this world.

30 Martin Maebo April 4, 2013 at 4:33 am

That’s very true. Life and all its experiences is are shadows! Christ is the reality of all things!

I rememder a time I lost everything. Iost my home, job, girlfriend, friends, and parents. I was young and I anguished over walking out on a very bad situation for weeks. Than I made up my mind and gathered a suitcase and walked out the door. At first fear almost overcome me. I had nothing. Not even a car. I had $100 to my name and what I could carry. Suddenly, I felt a rush or courage and freedom that to this day I remember. It was like a weight had lifted. I thought to myself how silly it was to worry and stress over any of the things I thought were life altering important. I think of the feeling now as I’m older and hope that’s the feeling I will get when I leave this world.

I have a 60 years old mother to feed. I have to support my old beloved mother and myself. How can I re-start again with nothing.
I really wanna to restart everything of me – job, study and the feeling when I were a high school student. But I have founded it impossible. Several times, I feel upset over life.

36 Randy June 3, 2013 at 9:03 am

Sometimes starting over is deciding to be strong and stay positive in the face of overwhelmingly difficult times. To say “I refuse to be brought down” is leaving behind the things you are clinging to. Resolve to have hope in yourself. I know it sounds over simplified, but sometimes the only change you can make is your attitude.

37 Izra June 4, 2013 at 5:42 pm

Don’t be afraid. Reminds me of the phrase “live life to the fullest” which simply means freedom. We have all the time in this world. We create our own story. Why not try those things that we haven’t done yet? It’s just a matter of choice. Just don’t be afraid to lose. 🙂

38 Gunel August 2, 2013 at 3:12 am

Yes, don’t be afraid, but how not to be afraid, sometimes this damn life hits us so badly that we cant overcome it, it takes off you everything, in this way how you can be sure and happy can everyone answer me?
