A woman was waiting at an airport one night, with several long hours before her flight. She hunted for a book in the airport shops, bought a bag of cookies and found a place to drop.
She was engrossed in her book but happened to see, that the man sitting beside her, as bold as could be. . .grabbed a cookie or two from the bag in between, which she tried to ignore to avoid a scene.
So she munched the cookies and watched the clock, as the gutsy cookie thief diminished her stock. She was getting more irritated as the minutes ticked by, thinking, “If I wasn’t so nice, I would blacken his eye.”
With each cookie she took, he took one too, when only one was left, she wondered what he would do. With a smile on his face, and a nervous laugh, he took the last cookie and broke it in half.
He offered her half, as he ate the other, she snatched it from him and thought… oooh, brother. This guy has some nerve and he’s also rude, why he didn’t even show any gratitude!
She had never known when she had been so galled, and sighed with relief when her flight was called. She gathered her belongings and headed to the gate, refusing to look back at the thieving ingrate.
She boarded the plane, and sank in her seat, then she sought her book, which was almost complete. As she reached in her baggage, she gasped with surprise, there was her bag of cookies, in front of her eyes.
If mine are here, she moaned in despair, the others were his, and he tried to share. Too late to apologize, she realized with grief, that she was the rude one, the ingrate, the thief.

This is one of the best story umm in fact poem I have ever read. In this story we get to know that how a person’s ego makes him or her misjudge people. I really thank the author for writing this story.
One superb story about misjudgment!!!
It was so cool that I thought maybe I should presented this story for my story telling competition… 😀
Good one
Thanks for posting this story…This is something which makes you think at least once before you judge some one.
It’s never too late. But I guess if she’ll go back, apologize and give a bunch of cookies to the man, she might miss her flight. So, just ask a stewardess to give the cookies to the man and her apology…… But I guess she’s nerveous and ashamed. 🙁
It was fantastic. Me and my friend are doing this as a play.
Love it!
Thanks for the moral stories 🙂
Nice Story………

This is the very nice story which teaches us that we shoud share our things and not to be rude to anyone. Everyone is not bad and also teaches us not to be absent minded too!!!

That’s right! Examine ourselves before judging others.

first I read it and I have to read it again when I realized that it was a poem. One has to look at it from different perspective. Good ending.
That was pleasantly clever and brilliantly written. That tale will give me chuckles for the rest of the day! Oh the irony; well played, well played. X8D

Good story
This is an awesome story……. I really liked it a lot.
Love it…we sometimes misjudge others and fail to examine ourselves first..it’s embarrassing but it’s true..
Cool story
This is the best poem I have ever read about misjudging people. We should not judge people for being bad or worse till we outweigh our judgement. Most of time we have the impression that we are right when wre are totally in the wrong. We should, therefore, not harry up in passing our judgement on people; we should not accuse them because they may be good people.
Do not let the chain of love end with you. Learn to share joyfully.
Wow lol i think this is such a cool story
lol
This is an excellent poem…Wonderfully written and I love it so much… 🙂
I’m an engineering and controls guy. I’m learning to have more appreciation for the arts as I get older, and this is certainly a beautiful work of art. This just made my day better than it should already be.
