Thomas Edison tried two thousand different materials in search of a filament for the light bulb. When none worked satisfactorily, his assistant complained, “All our work is in vain. We have learned nothing.”
Edison replied very confidently, “Oh, we have come a long way and we have learned a lot. We know that there are two thousand elements which we cannot use to make a good light bulb.”

Great Job on the story
This is awesome. It is a life impacting story. I have a speech to deliver in a Toastmasters club on Learning from mistakes. That is why I am surfing the internet to get more resources and I am glad to have this. It will be an added value to my speech.

You are very great and I am really thankful of you to provide this range of stories to me
Making mistake is not a mistake but when we are not identifying the mistake is the mistake
a very inspiring story…
By this view of Edison, we learn that when we do anything we learn something from that
It taught me to never give up.
He is a man worthy of emulation.
Thank you for this story. I got better lesson from this.
