If a dog was your teacher

If a dog was your teacher,
these are some of the lessons you might learn…

  • When loved ones come home, always run to greet them
  • Never pass up the opportunity to go for a joyride
  • Allow the experience of fresh air and the wind in your face,
    to be pure ecstasy

  • When it’s in your best interest,
    practice obedience
  • Let others know when they’ve invaded your territory
  • Take naps and stretch before rising
  • Run romp and play daily

  • Thrive on attention and let people touch you
  • Avoid biting, when a simple growl will do
  • On warm days stop to lie on your back on the grass
  • On hot days drink lots of water and lay under a shady tree
  • When you’re happy dance around and wag your entire body

  • No matter how often you’re scolded,
don’t buy into the guilt thing and pout,
run right back and make friends

  • Delight in the simple joy of a long walk
  • Eat with gusto and enthusiasm
  • Stop when you have had enough
  • Be loyal
  • Never pretend to be something you’re not

  • If what you want lies buried,
    dig until you find it
  • When someone is having a bad day,
    be silent….
    …sit close by
    …and nuzzle them gently.

Rules For A Good Life

Golden Rules:

If you open it, close it.

If you turn it on, turn it off.

If you unlock it, lock it up.

If you break it, admit it.

If you can’t fix it, call in someone who can.

If you borrow it, return it.

If you value it, take care of it.

If you make a mess, clean it up.

If you move it, put it back.

If it belongs to someone else and you want to use, get permission.

If you don’t know how to operate it, leave it alone.

If it’s none of your business, don’t ask questions.

If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.

If it will brighten someone’s day, say it.

If it will tarnish someone’s reputation, keep it to yourself.

June 25, 2012

A touching poem about an innocent girl who was killed in an accident caused by a drunk driver. Please don’t drink and drive.   I went to a party, Mom, I remembered what you said. You told me not to drink, Mom, so I drank soda instead. I really felt proud inside, Mom, the way […]

The boss story

The Boss Story:   When I take a long time — I am slow. When my boss takes a long time He is thorough. When I don’t do it — I am lazy. When my boss doesn’t do it He is too busy. When I do something without being told — I am trying to […]
